Metaforicamente, la ragnatela colorata di Francesca Pasquali, esplode nello spazio come una rete, un grembo, un luogo di dialoghi, confronti, connessioni e scambi tra identità, tecnologie, materie plastiche, memorie organiche, potenzialità inesplorate. Ognuno potrà arrampicarsi, toccare, sdraiarsi, immergersi in questa grande trama cromatica, alla ricerca del proprio stare e sentire. Percorsi di gambe, tensioni di braccia, occhi che girano e “toccano” l’ambiente multisensoriale di Francesca Pasquali.

Inspired by the modern creativity and the energizing innovation of Melissa, the artist conceived an immersive and engaging site-specific environment: AranhaBolaColoridas, title that recalls the place, the culture, the fusion between nature and technology that join in Melissa’s brand.

Metaphorically, Francesca Pasquali’s colored cobweb blows up in the space as a net, a lap, a place of dialogue, confrontation, connection and exchange among identities, technologies, plastic materials, organic memories, unexplored potentialities. Anyone can climb, touch, lay down, plunge in this huge chromatic weft, searching for the own being and feeling.

Legs in movement, arms in tension, eyes that turn and “touch” the multisensory environment of Francesca Pasquali.

Melissa’s products, as Francesca’s artworks, are objects in never-ending transformation, gestures that carries identity and personality, tiny wishes that walks the world, moving, changing, transforming. As all of us.

The title of these works, Spiderballs, is a neologism invented by Francesca Pasquali to describe an everyday object – in this case a simple household implement used to remove cobwebs – assembled to compose artworks for walls or, above all, large-scale environmental installations. With their vibrant colours and strong impact, they inhabit, invade and attack the space with their multifarious excessive presence, as extravagant as an explosion of energy. If the origin of Bristles lies in the collapse of Modernism, in this work, a plastic paradox plays the principal role: cobweb dusters are designed to create order and cleanliness; in a Duchamp-style reversal, they are transformed into Spiderballs, becoming huge inhabitants, space invaders, a chaotic multi-coloured presence that transforms the walls and ceilings of buildings with an extraordinary vital tension and driving force, charged with physical belligerence and site-specific sensuality.
