Le setole di PVC colorato, tra gli elementi identificativi della ricerca di Pasquali, presentate nella loro forma più pura e inconsueta, evocano fili e filati familiari all’arte del tombolo, che in questo progetto, grazie all’abilità di Iannini, plasmano un intreccio che parla di passato e presente, organico e sintetico, reale e artificiale.
In Punto plastico arte e altissimo artigianato si incontrano e intersecano i loro saperi, propri della cultura classica e del savoir faire italiano dando vita ad un’opera multisensoriale, dove la materia si riflette nelle rifrazioni dell’ottone specchiante, dove il pubblico, se si avvicina per scrutarne i dettagli, si rispecchia tra le trame lucenti e tridimensionali e diventa esso stesso parte dell’opera, dove il suono dei fuselli sussurra dalle viscere della materia, a dimostrazione che un’arte antica e preziosa vive e si rinnova in simbiosi con la creatività contemporanea.

A contemporary material lives on the textures of the past in the work Punto plastico by artist Francesca Pasquali for Métiers d’Excellence LVMH in collaboration with L’Aquila-based master lace-maker Simona Iannini.

Colored PVC bristles, among the identifying elements of Pasquali’s research, presented in their purest and most unusual form, evoke threads and yarns familiar to the art of lace-making, which in this project, thanks to Iannini’s skill, shape a weave that speaks of past and present, organic and synthetic, real and artificial.
In Punto plastico art and high craftsmanship meet and intersect their knowledge, proper to classical culture and Italian savoir faire, giving life to a multisensory work, where the material is reflected in the refractions of the reflecting brass, where the public if he approaches to scrutinize its details, is reflected among the shiny, three-dimensional textures and becomes itself part of the work, where the sound of the spindles whispers from the bowels of the material, demonstrating that an ancient and precious art lives and is renewed in symbiosis with contemporary creativity.
